We are a boutique Ragdoll breeder located in Lancaster Pennsylvania's historic Cabbage Hill section of the city.
Our cattery has also been our home for the last 30 years.
In addition to the Ragdolls we also share our home with our German Shepherd Riker as well as a large Koi Pond in the back yard.

Our cattery is FIV, FELV, HCM and PKD1 free, our Ragdolls are all TICA registered and pedigreed.

Unless our Veterinarian would require it to restrict movement for some reason for the animals well being, we are a cage free cattery.
Fortunately we have never had any emergencies or instances to warrant such action.

(Our process)

All of our cats and kittens are a part of the family and are raised under foot.
Pregnant females have full run of the house at all times until the nesting process begins.
Our breeding males and non pregnant females are kept separated to prevent any accidental litters.
They do however have full access to the full house at different times of the day.

We monitor and document our females heats. Once bred we determine the litters date of birth, we watch our females throughout the pregnancy.
When the nesting process begins we move them to there own birthing / safe room and start preparation for kittens.

~Birthing phase~
Fortunately we have been present for every birth and involved throughout the birthing process as much as mommy will allow.
Every mommy is different, some want / tolerate minimal help, others relish in it.

~Laundry basket phase~
Mommy is typically housed in a laundry basket lined with bath towels and potty pads covered with a blanket for privacy.
Mommy will typically stay with her babies constantly for 7 to 10 days only venturing out to eat, drink or use the potty.
Once little eyes are open and the kittens become active, peering out at the world, they are moved into a collapsible playpen.

~Collapsible playpen phase~
The playpen provides more room to explore and to work through the wobbly leg stage of development.
This is typically when you will also see eye to paw coordination being developed.
The kittens will have begun to start playing with each other.
The kittens will already have learned that "Nanny and  Pappy" mean cuddles and kisses and are already crying for attention.
Once they start climbing the sides for attention they are moved to the large playpen.

~Large playpen phase~
Once in the large playpen the zoomies begin and playtime gets serious between the siblings.
This is when food and water introductions start as well as scratching posts and litter box training begins.
Once the top of the scratching post has been conquered then the cat towers are introduced to provide further exercise and physical development.
Once the cat towers are mastered the kittens have full access to the birthing / safe room.
Mommy has already been going in and out of the room at her discretion and will begin to broaden her kittens horizons to the rest of the house.
Mommy will typically call her kittens back to the their birth room for sleep times and additional feedings.

~Whole house phase~
At this point we need to remember kittens are just like toddlers; they need to be monitored 24/7.
They are redirected to the scratching posts or litter boxes as needed or removed from the curtains if any acrobatics start.
Now that they are fully underfoot they learn the sights and sounds of the house.
They play in the kitchen while we cook. They also learn the kitchen is where the wet food cans are opened.
They love to gather around and sing for their supper.
Another love of the kitchen is the ice dispenser.
They learn the sound of the ice maker chime and come running for a chance to chase ice cubes on the floor.
They’ve even been known to stretch to the freezer handle to be the 1st to get the ice.
FYI; do not leave anything sitting in front of the refrigerator that will aid in getting to the height of the ice maker.
Yes they are that smart as to dispense there own ice or open the cabinet door where the treats are stored.
